We started BLW with our six-month-old daughter, Eleanore, tonight - TopicsExpress

We started BLW with our six-month-old daughter, Eleanore, tonight and my parents called to share their wisdom, encouraging me to cut up her carrot sticks and broccoli. She does not have teeth yet, but theyre worried that when they do come through, Eleanore will snap off some food and choke and die. My dad warned that he knew of a baby who died from choking (I do not know the circumstances), and now I am freaking out, haha. Do I need to cut up the food into tiny pieces? My husband and I know how to administer infant CPR, and we will not leave her unattended -even for a moment- while eating. I know to cut things like grapes and cherry tomatoes in half, and to avoid nuts, but what about other things? I had so much confidence in this and now, like with co-sleeping, my parents are in my head.
