We started our day cleaning out my bin, it had about 2 inches of water in it. Much of the food we had was wet and need to be trashed, some of the Bibles got wet too. Are blankets and pillows and even the sleeping bag all need to be dried. We got the bin cleaned and head to the laundry. After the laundry we took off on the trail and over the Missouri River. It was the longest bridge Julie has ever walked on and she did great. It was a very nice walk today. We saw a beaver, two snakes, and a snapping turtle. I touched the snapping turtle and Julie took a video. We passed by Pearsons and it made me happy, finally a town name I knew how to spell. We put in our miles and planned to end in Rocheport but got there and found that it was not as welcoming as most of the places we have been. It was a lovely town and we found that the City Hall is also the trail head. They were having a meeting and it had just finished as we got there. I asked if we could camp anywhere in town and I was told no that they did not allow camping in their town. It was already getting dark and we are not going to make the next place and we knew it, so we walked a mile or so down the trail and set up the tent. I know we are not allowed to camp here, but we are not allowed walk after dark. We are heading to bed with no dinner and we have very little water. We counted on Rocheport and they let us down big time.
