We stopped in at Cafe Herrera Mocking Bird Station last night after leaving the Angelika. The cafe is at the bottom of the stairs from the theater. As we walked in, the woman behind the bar said sit anywhere. There were a few people at the bar, maybe one table, and two booths were occupied. We took the booth between the other two groups. A waiter brought us our menus, then walked away. We sat in the booth and looked over the menus, made our decisions, then started playing on our phones. No one brought water or came and took our order. No one came by and checked on the folks in the booths on either side of us. After about 10 or 15 minutes, we got up and walked out. No one seemed to notice that we were leaving.
