We stumbled across this video we thought wed share it with you... It’s a promo film for “the house of the future” built in Disneyland, California in the 1950’s. It presents a 50’s vision of the future home – it’s interesting to note that many of the innovations presented did actually come to mainstream reality (except the prolific use of plastic!) – dishwashers, microwaves, video intercom, even integrated Hi-fi... Although it did take 50 years, we wonder whether it will take another 50 to see the kind of high-level entertainment & automation technologies available to day today to become run of the mill... and what will be cutting-edge in 2050?!
