We temporarily are under a dry southwesterly flow aloft. That will change late tonight as moisture from the monsoon slowly works in from the east/southeast. The chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms will increase over the mountains and deserts of Southern California and the Sierra Nevada Saturday. There will be a small chance of a few showers and thunderstorms through Sunday evening over the valley floor. Expect partly cloudy skies Monday with dry weather for all of next week if things go as planned.
