We thank God for another day to come together to worship Him and remember the sacrifice that was made for us. Jesus has given us a very visual and meaningful way of remembering that sacrifice through the Lords Supper. When we look down at the plates as they are passed are we seeing a cup of juice and a piece of cracker on a doily or do we visualize the blood that flowed down the face of our Savior and the body against the hard wood of the cross? It can be a very powerful reminder if our minds and hearts are focused on the sacrifice.
