We think our trails up here in the snowy Mountains are quickly - TopicsExpress

We think our trails up here in the snowy Mountains are quickly becoming the countries best. Check out my little “Backyard video“. Hopefully this wets your appetite and gets you thinking about the 2014 Snowy Triple Trail November 1st-2nd. The Triple is the first MTB Race of the 2014/15 season up here in the mountains. We’ve been busy up here getting ready for the spring melt and the 2014/15 MTB season to start. During winter we were hit by a few 100km+ storms, bringing hundreds of trees down all over the trails. However after weeks of clearing, the trails are looking better than ever. We’ve had volunteers and maintenance crews out at Bungarra, Lake Crackenback Resort and Tyrolean giving the trails some much loved grooming. Thanks To all. Now let’s talk Triple Trail because it’s special, and I really want to get you down here to ride it. Two days, three races, at Tyrolean, Bungarra and Lake Crackenback Resort MTB networks. The Triple Trail is a race for someone: who loves single trail; loves to climb and descend; wants more of a technical challenge, on a cross country bike and can’t decide which bike to use. The winners in the Snowy Triple Trail are strong all round MTB’s. As are all the competitors over the two days. The courses are completely different. Tyrolean is Old meets new, Single trail plenty of rock gardens, punchy long and short climbs mixed with the New Mill Creek Shared pathway. This trail is wide, has numerous man made walkway sections and flows in both directions. The Tyrolean trails run above and down on Lake Jindabyne with the Snowy Mountains in the background. Bungarra is looking great already. Last year riders went up Round Hill for the first time. Using the then new Garden Path and coming down the new B-line trail. This year we’re shortening the lap to about 8km and you will ride both trails twice, up and down. I rode the course a couple of weeks ago and even though you have two big climbs, you also have two big descents, so twice the time to recover (twice the fun too). The last and most beautiful stage, stage 3 is at Lake Crackenback Resort (LCR). Not as technical as the previous two stages but longer and faster. What a way to finish. We think our area has some of the best trails in Australia and the world. They’re different, they’re technical and put simply they are situated in one of the most beautiful places in Australia and the world. So get on your bike and get the hell up here. We’re building more trails every day and the old ones ROCK. Thanks Paul 0414 748 903 Ps A big thanks to Kate for standing out in the rain and helping to film the video.
