We think the missing eaglet at Eagle Valley was predated by an owl. The footage is quite dark and lightening it didnt yield usable images, but you can hear the encounter beginning at 10:17:07 in this highlight: goo.gl/1RoRHr While the night was dark to human watchers, the moon was full and bright. Researchers have found that bright moonlight greatly increases owl hunting efficiency. Some species curtail nocturnal activities during the full moon to avoid predators. Humans may be one of them.
