We thought we should share this trip advisor review with you, our fans. You have to have a sense of humor in this business. “Excellent Hotel, but Far From Galway” 4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 days ago NEW If you intend to stay in Galway and enjoy the sites, this hotel is not for you since its in Barna (about 15 miles or so away). That said, the hotel was modern, well-appointed, nicely furnished, and comfortable and clean. The mattress is very comfortable, but we would have liked a top sheet. Why do hotels in the most of the British Empire countries omit using a top sheet, anyway? The comforter is often too hot, when we want only a sheet ... and I question how often hoteliers change the duvet cover. With this in mind, Im going to make this response and correction very easy for every T.A. reader to understand. The correct answer is either True or False and it is the same answer for every question. 1. Barna not 7 km from Galway city but rather 15 miles. 2. Ireland is in The British Empire. 3. Hotels do not change the duvet cover daily. 4. Irish food is 14 to 20 years behind North American food. 5. Irish food is 24 to 35 years behind French and Italian food 6. Ireland - The Food Island does not have foods which deliver superior taste, contain high quality ingredients, and are manufactured by artisan or handcrafted methods making Ireland the current foodie hotspot and producer of some of the best speciality meats, cheeses and breads in the World. No guessing allowed. Best of luck everyone. With every good wish, Fergus Irish Food Champion
