We thought you might like an update on our precious little pinkie joey, Stacey-Ree. Well, she is not so pink anymore and she is growing daily. We had a few problems (nothing serious) in the first few weeks getting her to feed. She was a bit lazy and would only take enough so that it wasnt a major problem but still short of what she should have been having. We have well and truly overcome that now and she is turning into a little piggy. As you can see in the photograph her features are becoming pronounced and she is getting her first fine fur - velvet fur. Stacey-Ree is very alert now and loves sitting up and having a good look around, especially after feeding. She is quite an active little princess and adventurous a well. A couple of times she has already climbed out of her pouch but cant get back in so we have to keep a very good eye on her as she is too small to even be able to stand properly yet. I often hold her in front of my face and have a little chat to her and I am sure she takes in every word I say. In this photograph Stacey-Ree was trying to grab her tail. You can see how long her legs are and quite often the joeys will tuck their feet behind their ears.
