We urge Nigerian Federal Government, to begin the physical fencing of Nigerian border with Niger Republic, and get it electrified as soon as possible. The series of dastardly attacks by insurgents, on borders states in the North, including recent attack on military barracks, with high casualty, calls for more drastic measures. These desperate insurgents and their elite sponsors, who want to ‘recapture’ power at all cost, should be brought to book. Many of the sponsors are known. Let them be rounded up, and sent to International Criminal Court (ICC), for prosecution. Their ill-gotten wealth, including stolen billions in foreign banks should be confiscated. It will serve as a deterrent to other looters of the treasury, who may want to sponsor violence, in order to stage a come-back to power—their fathers’ property! Let international community, including United States, send: surveillance planes, B-52 bombers, troops, and other military equipment, to secure Nigeria Northern borders, from hoodlums and their unscrupulous financiers. The country belongs to all of us. The North has ruled the country for nearly four decades with little to show for it. They should allow persons from other parts of the Nigeria to rule, and stop the senseless killings, and violence going on in the country.
