Jon Gruber exposed that the true cost of the program was hidden from the CBO. At a time when our nation had no idea how to pay for the unfunded liabilities of our existing social welfare programs; the radical leftist democrats rammed another monster WELFARE program through congress. This paragraph SAYS IT ALL: Whether he is in Taiwan, Cyprus, or Vermont, the process is roughly the same: meet with legislators, draw up a plan, write legislation. Only half of those bills actually become law. The part where it collapses is, inevitably, when the country has to pay for it. This page has said for years that OBAMACARE will prove to cost 3-5Xs what was predicted. Even if you taxed the so called rich at 100% of their income; it would be a drop in the bucket for the tens of trillions in unfunded liabilities facing our nation as the baby boomers retire. We are headed towards a crisis and there seems to be no politician out there on either side of the aisle that is willing to speak the truth about this impending fiscal disaster.
