We very sadly had to say goodbye to our beautiful Foxford Crystal yesterday. She became ill with colic on Friday afternoon, developed complications and spent the night at the vets but on Saturday morning, we had to make the heartbreaking decision to put her to sleep. Crystal was a sweet natured, kind and generous little mare, she had been with us at Durhams for about 8 years working hard in the school and having fun out hacking. She was loaned to Gabby Baxter with whom she had a lot more fun hunting, eventing and hunter trialling etc with Crystals friends Pagan and Badger. After 5 lovely years with Gabby and still working at Durhams, Gabby went to Uni and Crystal went to stay with Emily Dove for a year to do some more hunting and have more fun. She really was the dearest lady who had a life filled with love and we are all going to miss her. Rip sweetheart!xxx
