We visited for lunch on a quiet Tuesday, arriving just after 12pm and opting to sit inside. Whilst the floorspace isnt massive, the owners have successfully managed the seating so as not to feel crowded - and have given a subtly quirky, yet welcoming, feel to the decor. Service is nicely done; warm, welcoming and happy to please. The water jug delivered to the table straight away as a matter of course was a lovely, thoughtful touch. We each opted for a burger - both with cheese, mine with bacon. It arrived on a wooden board, with a handy trench to stop the juices pouring off the side. I can only describe it as gorgeous. Thick, juicy and properly meaty, this is a beast of a burger. The crispy bacon a great textural contrast to the beef, all of which tasted just as it should - I felt like the same focus on quality and execution used on other dishes was present here; it hadnt been forgotten about simply because it was a burger. Additionally, the side of chips were delicious; fat, fluffy and tasty. The only disappointment was that I couldnt manage to eat them all! Overall Id say Ate OClock delivered a high quality, great value meal, in a lovely environment with great service. Id happily return again! Visited July 2014
