We want to hit the road this summer. We are truly independent musicians in the sense that we dont have any label, agent, management, or sponsorship support. This is not necessarily by choice, but we just dont go chasing those sort of things. But since we dont have a booking agent, and since most music venues only want to give door deals without promoting the show properly, weve decided to take a different approach. Lately a lot of fans have been booking us for private parties and personal appearances, which has actually been more fun and enables us to get to know the fans better without yall having to drive to a venue, pay to park, pay to get in, pay for overpriced drinks and food, etc. But our daily expenses to be on the road cost around $1k per day for our bud, driver, gas & food, and thats without us really making any profit. We mostly rely on CD & T-shirt sales to help us earn a living. So what we are planning to do is map out some routes, announce the cities and dates, and find some folks who want to book us for parties, or find music venues that will at least cover our daily expenses. We may even show up to a park and jam on the acoustic guitars, just so we can sell some merch. So our questions to you are, what cities should we visit and how many of your friends would show up and party with us?
