We want to lose weight, but so many times we say we dont know what to do. When you realize it means giving up some of our favorite foods in order to live and be whole and healthy, we think we just cant give them up. In essence, we are choosing death instead of life. Ive been right where you are. I know what youre going through, I really do. If I were in a boxing match, the announcer could have said and in this corner, weighing in at 430 pounds is Teresa Parker, wife, mother, business owner and fast food marathon champion. She loves anything made with sugar and flour and can eat her weight in cinnamon rolls. She wants to lose weight but not if it means never eating what she craves. When I finally understood I couldnt have my cinnamon roll and eat it at the same time, I actually grieved. I couldnt lose weight and eat the things I loved no matter how many diets told me I could. I realized I am a processed sugar and wheat flour addict. To lose weight and become healthy, I have to give those things up for the rest of my life. It felt like I had been sucker punched. But in reality when I surrendered those things for good, I experienced a freedom I never knew was possible. You can do the same. I have several resources if you need them.
