We want to thank the many members who truly made a difference - TopicsExpress

We want to thank the many members who truly made a difference today as part of Tikvat Israels observance of Good Deeds Day. People from the very young to the not-nearly-as-young came out to make meaningful contributions to our own community as well as to the greater community. Within the synagogue, people planted, painted, polished, and kashered our kitchen for Passover. Such efforts truly help our building. Volunteers also made tremendous contributions to our community by donating blood. The Red Cross was out in force and so were our members! Thanks to those who donated and to other TI members who made a difference by assisting at the drive to help all go smoothly. Tikvat Israel members also helped the local community by cleaning up Baltimore Road. Bags and bags of (really ugly and sometimes disgusting) trash were removed from our beautiful Rock Creek Park neighborhood. We greatly appreciate the many people who volunteered to help today, but we want to especially thank Lynn Berk and Robbi Cohen for taking the point on todays event. A hearty yasher koach to you both!
