We wanted to say thank you to everyone who attended Joshuas - TopicsExpress

We wanted to say thank you to everyone who attended Joshuas thanksgiving service a few weeks ago. Thanks to those who passed on their apologies as they were unable to make it and to those who were unable to be there but took a moment in their day to remember Joshua by letting go of balloons or having a chocolate milkshake, thank you. The day was a very difficult one for our family. We are thankful for everyones support of kind words and prayers for our family. We are thankful to everyone who helped make Joshuas day a very memorable one, with Joshua shining through every part of it, from Joshuas favourite Church songs to the weekly bulletin writings from Joshua displayed on the main screen were truly special. A photo slideshow from our sons short 8 years of life that brought tears of sadness but also of feeling proud of the wonderful boy Joshua is. Note from Linda: I am thankful for Jason who delivered the eulogy. Speaking on behalf of the family and for the things you wrote from yourself was truly amazing. Your strength and the way you spoke added an extra special moment to the day. The service concluded with the releasing balloons (blue and yellow, blue being Joshuas favourite colour but blue and yellow combined for the his love of the Parramatta Eels). Our family continues a daily struggle of missing our son/brother. The kids often pray to God about how much they love and miss Joshua, but also thank God for Joshua not being in pain anymore and for looking after him in heaven. Our family continues to grieve. We will always miss him and we most definitely will always love him and keep him close in our hearts. We miss his laugh, his personality, his singing along to Bruce Springsteen and Foo Fighters songs, his hugs and kisses, his gorgeous smile and so much more. Please continue to pray for our family as we miss our Joshua so much. (Apologies for the lateness of this message.)
