We wanted to share some data we have on FTW RED and Q16 based off - TopicsExpress

We wanted to share some data we have on FTW RED and Q16 based off a few of our all motor setups. All three of these comparisons are using Ogs rules built engines. Legal 106mm based engines. Each engine while being a 106mm by 90mm setup they all have vastly different parts combinations. Cams heads pistons rods valves Ect are all different. This year we proved to ourselves that we could go fast on Q16 its a great fuel but the power gain with FTW red is hard to beat. To purchase the latest head or cam design will cost a lot more the the cost increase of this fuel. So whats needed to run FTW red? Well I would setup the fuel system to match what would be needed to run an ethanol or methanol setup. We have used bosh 044 pumps in the past that work well but using a high quality Weldon pump and regulator would be the best choice. We currently use iridium NGK 9 plugs and a much richer target air/fuel mixture. The ignition tables are also slightly less then we would run on a Q16 motor. Each engine is different and ran best at different exact numbers. But this is my general rule of thumb. This fuel might my be for everyone but if your looking for an advantage and not an excuse I would give it a try. Chris Miller from FTW fuels has been a great help and has backed his product well. I personally do not sell FTW but we can get it though GP1 racing if anyone needs a tune on this or any other FTW products let me know I Would be glad to work with you. At a later date I will be posting some data regarding FTW green vrs FTW Orange ethanol blends on the Turbo cars.
