We waste so much time telling women how to prevent rape. We should be more focused on educating our boys about rape, why they shouldnt rape, and how to respect women. Our society says that if you want to be sure not to get raped then: 1) do not wear revealing clothes- (because when men see too much skin they cant help but rape you) 2) dont wear high heels so that when you are attacked you can run away (and because men see the heels and see you as easy prey) 3) dont go out at night and drink beverages that you are legally able to have, because men will slip a substance in your drink and rape you or you will be less likely to fight off an attacker- and you will be attacked because when men see you drinking you become prey. Again, lets be clear, what we teach women is that the normal and natural state of men is to rape- so we must stay inside and cover ourselves so we dont become the bloody meat to the lions. This is so insulting to men and confining to women. Not to mention, this idea of more clothes and saying close to home reduces rape, is a myth- anyone care for me to quote some states from cultures where women are fully covered--- yeah ....
