We watched The Butler last night as I had been wanting to see it. I thought it was a good movie and it was a reminder of just exactly what African American people had to go through just to obtain equal rights. I did find it a little ironic that they mention Vietnam and they end up losing their son in the war, and Jane Fonda (who seems to have had a controversial role in Vietnam) played in this movie. Also, Jane Fonda played Nancy Reagan and maybe it is just a personal opinion as I dont care for Jane Fonda, but she couldnt make a pimple on Nancy Reagans ass as far as Im concerned. Beyond that, I thought it was good and it goes to show how much this country has evolved over the years and how much farther we have to go. Whether it is the LGBT community, African Americans, or the white kids at the Shelter Workshop, everyone deserves the same rights and privileges.
