We watched a couple of sci-fi/fantasy type movies over the weekend. First we watched Minority Report - Mary for the first time, me for the second. I dont know about you but I really like Tom Cruise in hard sci-fi movies. Hes done a lot of them and its a great genre for him. This was a futuristic film where violent crime is foreseen by precogs and murder is virtually unheard of. Except theres a flaw in the system and Cruise gets set up for a murder he didnt commit. Produced by Steven Spielberg. Epic production and very good. Then we watched Divergent , a 2014 fantasy set in post-apocalyptic future. Young cast, strong young female lead, a lot of tribal similarities to Hunger Games. Apparently this is one of a series based on a novel of the same name. If you liked Hunger Games, youll enjoy Divergent. Whats next??
