We welcome you Mr Tamsir Jasseh and we are all in this together!!Although we have never met or talked, I take this moment to welcome Tamsir Jasseh on his newly formed organization called Gambia Association for Peace and Reconciliation. After enduring 6 and a half years of hard labour in Mile 2 prison and to feel the need that through dialogue, and reconciliation peace is possible, I commend you for taking such a bold move for the interest of The Gambia. I shall surely reach out to him and see how best we can all work collectively together and all those who want to make changes, and reforms through a dialogue. We need to support each other and lift each other up for Gambias interest. I shall support him and consult the panel to make sure that reconciliation is a success for all Gambians even those who would run away from us and dont want it in their name. The Gambia is greater than any individual, group, or party. I urge others with the same kind of approach to step up and not be afraid to be criticized cause we are all in this together and we are already in a hot kitchen regardless!! Unity is needed and we will do what we can to make sure that all political prisoners including Amadou Sanneh, Momodou Sabally, Mamburay Njie and others such as Ebou Jobe and Mamut Ceesay, are released by Gods grace. We need to be careful of not leaving anyone out cause even those in the diaspora yearn for freedom, democracy, and the rule of law. We shall continue to reach out to the victims and all people through the media, and private conversations. Thanks for all your support online radio stations. Thanks to all those supporting the cause openly and privately!! Reconciliation is a process and will not happen in one day, so I please plead for your patience from now until December to see if there have been any progress at all. 20yrs is too long but 2 months is just around the corner. I hope that we will all work tirelessly to make sure that we are doing all we can to craft better proposals and have a dialogue as to the way forward. We all have a stake in Gambia and we are all the struggle. The greatest struggle we face though, is the struggle within the inner self. Let us unite as one people with a common goal and work towards it without tarnishing each other. Peace be with you all!!
