We went phishing, it was Mindys 1st time going on tour for any band & WOW did we have fun,,,the warf rocks! We jumbo daiquiris & looked at all the yachts, sat on a swing bench. We ate oysters that were $6dz, we had grilled ribeye & jumbo shrimp, i drank a bathtub gin drink special & i dont even like gin. We had the best table on the patio! there was a band & they opened w/ Cortez the killer, $2beers so we sat and ate, drank & listened to music for 2hours b4 the show, best pre-show meal ever! We briefly seen some nola people & Allison Young, but come show time it was just Minstress & I. after the show we drove 3.5hrs to a cute 3bedroom/2bath house in the woods that was just minutes away from oak mtn. the drive was a tag-team effort and we made it there by 5am. not having to get up on sat and checkout was the best call! We woke up to fresh made cinnamon rolls on our door! the house was stocked w/ starbucks coffee, waters, snacks. We made our way to oak mtn. we parked at the end of shakedown st not by choice. but it was fun. we thought we had great seats until we seen that the emts & cops were posted up next to the seats so we had to move, goig from the 200s to the 300s at first seemed to be a small downer, until the people in front of us say,,you from nola?, the were from mid-city, Chase, Mike, Cortney & Amy I think, yall were awesome, it was great to see some real nola love! Then it was time for the way i truly love to do shows with FRIENDS, not just friends, but real FRIENDS, sunday couldnt get here soon enough! Being w/ Jen & Jamey made all the difference. you go to shows and you see people you know, but to be with people that want to be w/ you just makes everything better! The Sunday show was awesome! I just gotta thank my wife for working so hard, for trusting & believing in me. I wanna thank Jen & Jamey for their love & Phish for bringing us together this past weekend! best weekend of the summa hands down!
