We went to see Grand Budapest Hotel this afternoon, in what felt like the perfect venue - a small, aging neighborhood theater, which had gotten much more decrepit since we were last there….the lobby could have been used in several shots. It was very cold and drafty, felt even chillier as we were damp after ducking in through the rain. Any other time, Id have been annoyed, but Wes Anderson has the ability to completely entrance me, so there we sat, me with my scarf up over my nose, shivering happily in the dark. Love his work, love the actors he uses, and wish I were one of them.
