We went to see "Hangover III" last night on the tiny Dutch island where we are vacationing. It was an appalling movie that capitalizes on the crudest of situations and language striving in vain to get a laugh. And it includes really blatant scenes of stark gun violence. I sat there in this Dutch audience, with mostly European kids, wondering what the US entertainment industry was doing to minds of young people, not just in our country but throughout the world. It made me embarrassed to be an American and to think we are exporting such garbage to the world.
