We went to see the Movie Noah tonight. First the special effects and cinematography were excellent. The movie was clearly told from a decided bias as it was told more from a post-modern perspective of environmentalism than about Biblical Theology. The focus was on saving all of creation except humans since they were the big problem. It does highlight that good and evil coexist in the human heart and that freewill is a gift of God. Some things though were not biblical. The Bible says that Noah, his wife, his sons and their wives went on the Ark but that is not the way it is in the movie. Moreover I do not think that the biblical Noah would have contemplated infanticide as the Noah in the movie does. I think it is worth seeing but take it with a grain of salt because it is not the Biblical story.
