We went to the movies tonight to see the James Brown story Get On Up. I have been waiting months for this movie and we were not disappointed. The critics gave it 4 Stars and we will totally agree. For those of us that grew up in the 1960s it will bring back many memories of those times. The life of James Brown was a turbulent one that new generations would not understand. The acting in the movie was excellent. The way the story was told reminded me a lot of the Ray Charles movie Ray which won Academy Awards. The movie had lots of James Brown songs. Which you wanted to get up and dance to. When I see a great movie I always go back a few weeks later to see it again on the BIG screen. I will also by the movie CD when it comes out. I will do both to Get On UP.
