We went to visit a relative in the hospital yesterday and entered the elevator with a beautiful Diné aszdaa. As we exited the elevator she shook my hand and said, Yaateeh. She then followed my partner outside as he left to pick up the vehicle. When my partner returned he was laughing and said, The Diné aszdaa asked me if we ate mutton because she could really smell it on us. Wah! So much for spraying perfume on me prior to the hospital visit. :-) At the end of the day, you can take the rez girl off the rez but not the rezziness out of the girl. :-)
