We were all shocked and saddened to hear about the suicide of Robin Williams. I was introduced to Robin many years ago through the weekly sitcom, Mork and Mindy. Over the years, his popularity and his reputation grew enormously. People came to love him for his comedic skill and creativity but sadly, the man who made people laugh for a living found himself living in a dark, deep, desperate cave of depression that ultimately led him to take his own life. Robins depression resulted in an acute hopelessness that stripped him of his will to live; it caused him to feel that there was no way out of his misery. Robins tragedy serves to remind us that hopelessness is real, horrible and haunting but it is reversible. There is One who can turn it around. His name is Jesus. This Sunday morning at Sunday Rock in Columbus, GA, I will talk about Restoring Hope. If you find yourself in despair, discouraged, depressed or downcast, please consider yourself invited to join us in one of two worship experiences 9:00 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. If you know someone who may be experiencing any of these symptoms, please consider inviting them to come to church with you. It may change their life. At Solid Rock, hope awaits you. It is not just for the elite, the elevated or the exalted. it is for EVERYONE!!!!! Please share this post with all your friends. Lets get the word out!
