We were at the cancer search for a cure rally/walk today in Tulsa. I no longer do well in crowds, or loud music. This had both. We were there to support our family friend, 7yr old Arleigh. At the beginning, they brought up all the kids, and they yelled out if they were a survivor, or fighter. Every time they yelled survivor, my heart swelled, and I smiled. Every time they yelled fighter, my heart skipped, and filled with pride. I wanted to jump in with them and kill this monster attacking them, with all my might. Alas, my primitive caveman skills are not adequate for this particular fight. It was an emotional roller coaster I was not prepared for, nor do I handle well. With dysfunctional tear ducts, I pray every one of those little children beat this, and tell their grand kids about a little inconvenience they had as a child.
