We were charged by an un collared, off leash, 90lb Pitbull today. - TopicsExpress

We were charged by an un collared, off leash, 90lb Pitbull today. As she reached inches from Foozie I made a split second decision to drop his leash so he could run. We were finishing our morning jog, and half a block from home. RaRa was growling so I knew that could be fatal if the Pit took it the wrong way. Foozie bolted and the Pit charged after him. Of course she could not get him. A car approached but fortunately was a neighbour so she stopped. Foozie did a sharp turn and run back towards us, the Pit still pursuing. By now the owner was close to his dog and was able to grab her. He explained that she needed to poop so pulled over in his truck to let her out. No collar, nothing. I didnt see her till she was already charging us. I rescued Pits for many years and love them... but... I was scared. Female Pits, especially the Alphas are dangerous when provoked (in their minds). Foozie was the Hero again, she seemed to like him in away but the way she looked at princess RaRa was a look to kill. Even after restrained she wanted to get to her. Im still perturbed and conflicted, 12 hours later.
