We were eating pizza in one of our favorite restaurants/bars in Playas del Coco, while watching the howler monkeys in the trees above our heads. Two male howler monkeys had a verbal battle. I guess the one with the more impressive voice won. It was quite fascinating to watch and listen. In all the other countries we visited before we had to go into the jungle to spot the wildlife. But here in Costa Rica the monkeys come to the bar! What a cool place! Viva la pura vida!
