We were forwarded this lovely email by Best Western head office yesterday after they had been contacted directly by one of our guests to nominate some of our team members as BW Jewels in the Crown after having stayed with us for a short break. Makes us feel so proud to get this sort of feedback. The comments for Lucy our receptionist made us chuckle :) Dear Harriet, It was lovely talking to you today. Thank you for updating me on the outcome of our telephone conversation this morning regarding York House hotel. I am more than happy to become a rewards member especially if enables me to nominate the staff at York house. Nestor - For always having a smile and a warm welcome, and for going that extra mile to ensure we were happy. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him, taking the time to talk to Henry(age 5), even when he was extremely busy. Henry says a special thank you, for taking his breakfast to his room after he fell sick, it made him feel very special. Jordi – For always having a smile and a warm welcome, and offering to get Henry some croissants, even though we were the ones late for breakfast. Henry sends a special thank you for always having the time to talk to him. Hugo – For always having a smile and a warm welcome, and ensuring Henry always had a continual supply of nutella. Henry sends a special thank you for always having the time to talk to him. Lucy – For always having a smile and for being extremely patient even when Henry called her 3 times a day to ask if the swimming pool was busy. I am sorry as I am the one who told him it was 0 to call reception! Darren – Thank you for looking after us, even though we had already checked out and you were very busy. Henry sends special thanks for his yummy chips and bread. Room service/cleaning – Thanks to you all for always being so polite, kind and for always greeting us with a lovely smile. Chef/kitchen staff - The food was delicious, a big thank you for accommodating our additional requests, especially Henry’s request to order from the main menu rather than the children’s (he loved your steak and scallops). I have stayed in the Grand hotel, but York House beats it hands down. I had a fabulous time and look forward to our Christmas stay. The biggest compliment to the staff is that Henry would like to cancel his 6th birthday party with his friends and has now requested he spends it at York House hotel with everyone. I am not sure if it is possible, but do you have an email service to inform people on your special Amazon 3 night/dinner stays? Thank you for all your help, Take care, Best wishes, Lou
