We were getting ready to leave today and he opened his eyes. I took my IPad and showed him a couple pictures of Patchie that Dawn had posted. He did get excited and asked where is she? (yes, I could make it out). Told her Judys and is doing well, remembered his dad and me and played toss and fetch with a little toy the other day. I told him she misses him and is waiting for him. Just then the physical therapist came in and a couple doctors. He shook hands with each of the doctors and they spoke with him. They stayed through the first part of the work out and then left, but not before he extended his hand out for another handshake. The therapist worked his arms out and then each leg. He sat up on the side of the bed and did some more exercises with her. I dont think he is too excited about us so much anymore, (normal) but was very into doing well for himself and those who were helping him. Dad was touched as I saw his eyes tear up. Just a proud time to see Howie being so respectful and cooperative. I was so glad we didnt leave when we were going to. Their goal now is to get that collar off of him and that will make him so happy. I hope the event in LaPine is a huge success. Be safe all of you.
