We were home late for supper, so I fixed hamburgers. We were at my Moms visiting and the smell of the frying burgers made us all hungry. I like to do sizzle burgers. I make them in the electric skillet, and cook them with the lid on. I make them thick and they come out juicy and flavorful, not like hockey puck burgers that you get at fast food places. So, I fashion the thicker patties, salt and pepper and fry on one side about four minutes with the lid on, on the highest heat. I know when to turn them, because the juices start to pool on the surface of the meat. I love the nonstick skillet, no more fat is needed than what is in the meat. Once I turn them over, then I soak the top of them with worcestershire sauce and put the lid back on. Another three or four minutes, then we added swiss cheese and let it melt before removing them from the pan. I toasted the bun, and added mayonnaise, lettuce and some Daves Devil Spit hot hamburger pickle slices.
