We were honoured by the visit of G. Madhavan Nair to our residence in Toronto, I also got the opportunity to take him for shopping and show him and Mrs Madhavan Nair around Toronto. G Madhavan Nair an intellectual celebrity, who during his Chairmans role at ISRO was the sole person to identify the presence of Water in Moon, though NASA made several attempts earlier to find Water in Moon they were not that successful. By the launch of Chandrayaan Mission Madhavan Nair was able to confirm from the findings that there is water in the Moon, further this result was analyzed by NASA and was confirmed. Madhavan Nair was in Toronto, today evening he left for India just few minutes ago. Madhavan Nair was here to attend the 65 IAC Conference (Madhavan Nair is the President of International Astronautical Congress). He was awarded the honor for scientific research two times by the Government of India for his great contribution to Space Science (Padma Bhushan 1998, Padma Vihushan 2009)
