We were, my husband and I, doing our shopping when the first teargas were launched. So the store closed its doors and the cashiers let us go out by the back door. When we arrived on the Boulevard, many bystanders and onlookers like us, started to get outraged. We were a hundred people, maybe 150 at most. Seeing that the protesters were blocked (sandwiched) in the Allée Jean Jaurès and overly gassed, some people began to be indignant and released some phrase of discontent: Your job is to protect and ensure the safety, not to punish people! Youre trying to asphyxiate them it was in Auswitch that they gassed people! etc. My husband is a photographer, he always carries some equipment in his bag, so we decided to stay and film the event. Then someone said let them out, and everyone resumed let them out clapping in its hands. A sort of spontaneous mini-protest was born! After about 30 min of peaceful protest, 2 trucks of riot police and a truck-mounted water cannon arrived behind us. Among the bystanders, there were also a few protesters (from the initial protest against the dam project and to denonce police brutality that lead to the death of a young botanist), they went in front of the trucks peacefully. 5 riot policemen came with batons and teargas canister. They havent had to use it because none of us disturbed their action (which was, I suppose, to drive the water cannon on the Allée Jean Jaurès). However, no policemen asked the crowd to split to let pass by the trucks, they instead get us to understand it by rushing in / forcing with another truck in the crowd. (this is what we see in the video) People then verbally protested, booed the police action, but remained peaceful while continuing to chant let them out or the police with us. (The everybody hates the police is chanted by the demonstrators in front). After that, the crowd moved away to let the trucks go by, accompanied by a cynical applause. On the way home, we crossed the city center, all was quiet. We did not see any policemen. I guess when minority vandals groups reached the city center later, there was little or no police to stop them before they break .... this is regrettable. Nous étions, mon mari et moi en train de faire nos achats à la Biocoop quand les premières lacrymogènes ont été lancées, vers 16h. Le magasin à fermer ses portes et le caissiers nous a fait sortir par la porte de derrière (rue des 7 troubadours). Arrivés sur le Boulevard Carnot, beaucoup de passants et badauds comme nous avons commencé à sattrouper. Une centaine de personnes, peut être 150 au plus. Constatant que les manifestants étaient bloqués (pris en sandwich) dans les allées Jean Jaurès et excessivement gazées, quelques personnes ont commencés à sindigner et à lâcher de petites phrases de mécontentement : votre métier cest de protéger et dassurer la sécurité, pas de réprimer les gens! vous êtes en train de les asphyxier cest à Auswitch quon gazait les gens! etc. Mon mari est photographe de métier, il a toujours un peu de matériel dans son sac, alors nous avons décidé de rester pour filmer lévènement. Puis quelquun a crié laissez-les sortir, et tout le monde a repris en coeur en tapant dans les mains. Une sorte de mini-manifestation spontanée était née! Au bout de 30 minutes environ de protestations pacifiques, 2 camions de CRS et un camion canon à eau sont arrivés dans notre dos. Parmi les passants attroupés, il y avait aussi quelques manifestants qui navaient pas été coincé dans les allées, car ils se sont mis devant le camion pacifiquement. 5 CRS sont sortis, matraque et bonbonne lacrymogène à la main. Ils nont pas eu à sen servir, car personne na géné leur action (qui été, je suppose, de conduire le canon à eau sur les allées). Cependant, aucun policier/gendarme/CRS na expliqué ou demandé à la foule de sécarter pour laisser passer les camions derrière nous (camions qui étaient à larrêt), ils nous lont fait comprendre en fonçant/forçant avec un camion dans la foule.... (cest ce quon voit dans la vidéo) Les gens ont alors protesté verbalement, ont hué laction de la police, mais sont restés pacifique tout en continuant à scander laissez-les sortir ou la police avec nous. (Le tout le monde déteste la police est scandé par les manifestants en face). Après ça, la foule sest écarté pour laisser passer le canon à eau, sous des applaudissements plutôt indignés quencourageants. Nous sommes repartis vers 17h et avons traversé le centre-ville (direction Esquirol/Carmes/Palais de Justice), où tout était calme. Nous navons pas vu de policiers. Je suppose que quand des groupes minoritaires de casseurs ont atteints le centre-ville plus tard, les forces de lordre netaient pas en place pour les arrêter avant quils ne cassent.... ils leur ont donc courru après ... cest regrettable
