We were saddened to learn this week of the passing of Florence Barker, a dedicated friend of our organization. As a leader in her beloved Valle Monte League, Inc., Mrs. Barker made possible mental health services for thousands of people in our community. Part of her legacy was the creation of Valle Monte Leagues annual fundraising event, Christmas Tree Elegance, which is an annual highlight for thousands and a critical fundraiser for local mental health services. We remember Mrs. Barker with tremendous gratitude and send our sympathies to her family.
