We were so touched by this local familys story, that we just had to help, and now we are asking for support, too. We have organized a Community Baby Shower for this Sunday at Duck Puddle Campground from 3-6pm, to celebrate the impending arrival of twins (boy and girl!), whose mama is battling a very aggressive cancer. Jada and Ryan are a remarkable couple. They are inspiring in every way, and we wanted to do something to help alleviate their worries a bit. They lost their jobs and their homes due to the rigorous schedule of chemo and prenatal visits, and Jada still has a long road ahead- a year of chemo and double mastectomy, in addition to caring for two newborns! Please join us this Sunday to celebrate the new arrivals! $8 per ticket ($4 for children under 12 or free for children under 2) includes BBQ lunch (plus sides and desserts!) and a free day pass to Duck Puddle. Plus, raffles, games, music and more- a family and dog friendly event! The family is in need of gift cards for gas and groceries, or to The Kidz Closet.... and diapers-- cloth or disposable.
