We were the first vehicle (except maybe a trail bike) to be out on one of the freshly opened forest roads today. After a mile or so, we came to an aspen across the road. No biggie - we carry a modest sized bow saw and this tree wasnt very thick. A few curves later - a large, bushy ponderosa had fallen across the road. Too big for the saw. Ponderosas tend to break into sections when they fall, but there were too many branch stubs to allow rolling the pieces, and no way could I lift even one end. Time for the cables and tow rope. I think we did our good deed for the day!
