We were the generation that made safety laws... I remember wrecking 3 cars around 3 years old by simply shifting into neutral and the car would then keep going until it hit something. I remember all of us kids sitting in the front seat with 2 kids in my dads lap fighting over steering the car. It got even crazier too, once we had our whole family, grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles loaded into a motor home travelling down the mountains of N Carolina when the brakes failed,the horn did not work and we were flying down a 2 lane road with a steep dropoff to the right. Oh and we had the pilot light on the stove with a tank of fuel turned on. We had to make evasive manoeuvres to keep from killing everyone in a car (that was stopped attempting to make a left turn) that had us dangerously close to rolling over the side of the mountain where we certainly would have exploded. Bu we survived so lets make fun of all of those safety precautions we have nowadays....
