We were touched tonight when a local resident came in with a bunny that was injured on the street. She watched in horror as cars just weaved around this sweet little bunny. She jumped into action, secured bunny and brought her to VetsToronto. Dr. Mitelman did a full exam and though she has an injury to her leg, no breaks were found and she seems otherwise healthy. This good Samaritan will monitor bunnny at home until shes ready to venture back out into the world on her own. The icing on the cake of the story? Mommy bunny is pregnant! Thank you good Samaritan for allowing us to play a small part in this feel good happy ending! If you come across injured wildlife, be sure you report it to Toronto Wildlife Centre as soon as possible.
