We will be having Garden Travels again this fall, starting Tuesday evening, September 24, when we have the opportunity to travel with Gilles Allard to the South Polar Areas, No Visas Required. Purchase dinner or a coffee at Donderos’ Kitchen upstairs then wander down to the Gardenside Room, where we will have wine and a few snacks at free event. At 7:00 Giles will transport us south, flying through South America (say, Buenos Aires or Santiago,) to Ushuaia or Punta Arenas and from there to the Falkland Islands on the way to fabulous South Georgia Island where Shackleton will be remembered. From there Gilles will take us to the Antarctic Peninsula where the scenery, history, and biota will be irresistible. This is a great way to spend a relaxing evening at the Garden, learn about other places and meet new friends.
