We will be welcoming Zeki and Maxie from Kosovo in the up and coming weeks. Kosovo is still a very unsettled country, life for stray dogs over there is beyond horrific, we will help when we can. Here is Zekis write up from the volunteers in Kosovo. Zeki looks like a Border Collie mix with his beautiful black and white coat and pretty brown eyes. He is around 8 months old, fully vaccinated and neutered. Zeki was rescued from an appalling shelter filled with 400+ dogs by a wonderful animal activist colleague, Argjenta, who has rescued many dogs in Kosovo. Argjenta chose Zeki because his beautiful eyes expressed such depth of desire to survive. Had he been left in the shelter there is no doubt he would have been in grave danger from other dogs killing him, catching distemper, or being released where there are other dangers. Zeki has shown that he has a very sweet nature and gets on well with other dogs, male and female and a variety of ages. He has not been tested with children or cats, but both frequent the shelter and he does not display any nervousness or aggression.
