We will have to carry out the following types of organizational efforts to overcome these difficulties · To increase the educational level of Sikh children and to help them in learning English and other foreign languages. · To pull them out of the rituals contrary to Sikhism and to educate them the basic understanding of Sikh religion and way of life which is not ritualistic as there is difference between ritual and practice. · To bring the community together at one platform, which is at present divided due to caste and creed (Jats, Lohanas, Ramgarhias, etc.) · Interpersonal skills to enable them to perform simple domestic and other tasks with competence and confidence. · Helping the children for their homework, school education, aptitude test, personality development and vocational guidance, etc. · Training the parents to address the children problems in the school and colleges. · Education regarding the basic laws and rules of foreign country and their social behavior. · Educating the standard safety procedures (e.g. what to do during a fire, a medical emergence, etc.) and communication with the local authorities. · Educating the types of public assistance available in the country they live. · Daycare center for the children and old age home for the elderly Sikhs. · Utilizing the help of the radio station for general information and educational activities. · A Sikh Community centre can be created with facilities like computer centre, a library a recreational facility, classrooms, seminar hall, and a counseling centre, etc.
