Q: I dont plan on getting in trouble this weekend, but, do you have any advice if I am approached by a cop? My answer: Yes. Be polite. But, dont volunteer to incriminate yourself. Dont talk to the officers about the things that come to your mind. Dont participate in field sobriety tests. Dont consent to searches of you, your things, or your vehicle. If you are read your rights, INVOKE THEM, dont waive them! Lastly, dont insult the officer by cursing at him or telling him you make more money than him. Theres absolutely nothing positive that will ever come out of that, I promise.
