We wish every one the very best this weekend at USKA Arizona State Championships. We look forward to participating at this tournament as it is was the first tournament that we had one of our students represent our dojo 2 years ago. Here is a video of Talim, competing as a white belt at his first tournament (USKA Arizona State Championship November 2012). He really has grown in so many ways. We are proud of all our students that represent our dojo at the tournaments, regardless of placement. It is not an easy task for a youth to stand up in front of so many and perform for a panel of judges that are carefully analyzing their every move and award points based on the performance. This process molds our young karatekas to believe in themselves, that they can accomplish goals and overcome challenges if they are prepared. Life is filled with obstacles and this a great way to help them prepare for them. If you have time this Saturday and even if your child is not competing you can take them to see what a tournament is like. We look forward to seeing you at this tournament.
