We won! The public use ban for electronic cigarettes didnt pass. The following is the outcome of the ecig regulations today: Final deal (per Cap ORourke, lobbyist for Minnesota Vapers Advocacy): 1. No sale from Kiosks any contract signed before May 1 has until Jan 1 2015 to comply. otherwise Aug 1 is effective date. 2. Child resistant caps required effective Jan 1, 2015 3. Vaping banned in daycare facilities, nursing homes, hospitals , MNSCU (state colleges) & UofM buildings and any government building. 4. Any day care providers must disclose if they vape to parents. 5. Prohibition of sales to minors and shops subject to stings.
