We wont have satsang this week or next Wed, so Im posting this beautiful video from Gangaji, my teacher and inspiration for true inquiry. Inquiry took me to the depths of my being to that which is prior to all story telling ..before good stories or bad stories..to that which is prior to the concepts of good and bad. This is the great potential for us all. True inquiry isnt about putting on good feelings or good thoughts. On the contrary, Its about exposing the lies we tell ourselves. Its penetrating the façade of the image making mechanism that keeps us lying to ourselves about who we think we are. Our spiritual concepts about beauty and peace have nothing to do with true peace, true beauty. It can only be discovered and tasted through direct experience. Leave behind the books and teachers that tell you that youre perfect as you are. The mind loves affirmative candy. The shift is only temporary until the mind goes back to its conditioned perspective. Transformation is much deeper than shifting within conceptual understanding. A true teacher will take you much, much deeper than temporary shifts in perception. I hope you enjoy this video.
